Considering the adult entertainment industry
today, penis pumps are seemingly only advertised in the
back pages of men's magazines. |
|
Of course, all of them claim the ability to produce
an elephantine phallus. The facts, however, are that pumps are used
by men who suffer from chronic insulin dependent diabetes or circulatory
disorders (which is why even Medicare will cover their cost).
Men with diabetes or circulatory disorders have
such poor blood circulation due to their sugar metabolism, that
they can't get the proper amount of blood flow to the right area.
What the pump does for these men is stretch the skin and underlying
tissues, allowing them to clamp off the blood flow and consequently
trap it in their penis. With the clamp firmly in place, they can
have sex with a hard erection - only for short periods of time though.
Thus, the pump is a short-term solution to an erection.
How It Works:
Penis pumps work by creating a vacuum around the
penis and increasing blood flow to the shaft and head to force the
chambers inside the penis to expand. By increasing the blood to
the penis and keeping the increased volume there, the chambers will
slowly 'stretch' or expand to accommodate the sudden increase of
blood. Penis pumps usually come with a cylinder that goes over the
penis. By fitting it tightly over the penis and covering the base
against the body, air gets cut off. Squeezing the hand pump increases
blood flow into the penis, erecting it. As the penis is kept in
that state, the tissues expand to the maximum and like bodybuilding,
the tissues repair themselves and rebuild into a stronger, larger
penis.
Results:
The results achieved in erection size are often
similar to those experienced during extreme sexual arousal, when
the penis is engorged with blood to its full capacity. Although
pumps certainly engorge the penis to capacity and result in immediate
gains, the effects as mentioned above are only temporary and are
lost within a few hours. Also, it isn’t exactly practical
to pump yourself up (so to speak) right before partaking in sexual
intercourse everytime the opportunity arises.
Myth:
Penis pumps are safe and can be used for a long
period of time.
Basically, the penis pump works by holding the same
blood in your penis with vacuum force for up to an hour at a time,
filling the erectile chambers to the absolute max. Over time this
will enlarge the penis, but has also been shown in many cases to
cause Impotence! Vacuum suction force to the penis for extended
periods of time cuts off circulation, damaging penile tissue, cells,
and can cause de-sensitivity and nerve damage. This is the exact
opposite of what you want as a result.
Expert Commentary on Penis Pumps:
Unfortunately, the use of a penis pump does not
result in sustained long-term improvements in penile size. They
have no effect in increasing the natural capacity of the erectile
chambers, which is a necessity if permanent gains are to be achieved.
There are no well-documented scientific studies of the long-term
effects of pumping. However, excessive pumping or the use of a too
intense vacuum can have detrimental side effects. Lymph blisters
are common and men often notice a reduction in sensitivity and problems
achieving firm erections. Moreover, burst or ruptured blood vessels
can lead to bruising and at worst even hemorrhaging.
For these reasons, only pumps with an accurate
and reliable pressure gauge should ever be used and instructions
should always be followed carefully. And, more importantly, why
bother with Pumps when you can have long-term improvements in penile
size at a more affordable cost and a less hazardous method with
